What difference are we making?
As we survey our graduates and review the results of Nexus Seminary teaching we find the following happening:
Unity among the students and greater unity in area churches.
Confidence in pastoral abilities and Biblical scholarship.
Character building and increased skills in ministry.
Fresh ideas and resources.
Desire to help others grow in their faith and practice.
From Pastor's Seminar to Seminary Graduations in 2 Years
November 2002 Alan Howe teaches at Alpha Omega Seminary in Jinja Uganda and meets Davis Matovu who is a student there in a 4 year
Bachelors program. Alan and Davis become friends.
November 2003 Davis invites Alan to open Soul Fishing Ministries - the partnership begins
September 2006 Davis graduates from Alpha Omega as Class Valedictorian with Alan present to celebrate
Davis sets up a Pastor's Motivation Program with 20 pastors from an area about 1/2 hour North of Kampala, Uganda's Capital
Before that day has ended the pastors beg Davis to teach them everything he can and a Seminary is begun.
Alan and Davis design and write a 20 course curriculum that will lead to a Certificate of Ministry and Biblical Studies
Davis begins teaching that first group weekly and another 2 groups begin meeting
February 2007 Alan and his wife Louise return to monitor progress, teach and to look at additional sites.
October 2007 A team of 4 pastors comes to teach and to celebrate the first Nexus Seminary Uganda Graduation of 17 Students in Gayaza

What makes Nexus Seminary Uganda Unique?
Nexus Seminary is designed to train the rural pastor. This is truly a Ugandan Seminary.
The training is free to the student
Women are treated as equal partners in this work
Resources such as study notes, Study Bibles and Bible Dictionaries are donated to students who complete the program
We educate Pastors who have little previous schooling as long as they will attend and work hard
We provide a joyful graduation celebration and continue training after graduation.
All students are encouraged to teach what they have learned to someone in their churches or to other area pastors.
The NEXT REALLY COOL THING.
Rev. Dr. BJ Norrix, Alan Howe and friends are working on a Biblical and Theological primer that will be written to a basic level and translated into the Luganda language as one of the first basic Biblical Study tools produced for use in Uganda.
MORE TO COME - GOD IS AWESOME!!!
